Overcome Your Fear and Take Action Now Challenge Worksheet – Day 1

Please print and/or save the worksheet here and write 1-2 paragraphs in response to each of the questions below. Don’t spend too long on any one question, but rather write down what immediately comes to mind.

1. Below is a list of core values commonly used by leadership institutes and programs. Please choose 3-4 that reflect the person you are and aspire to be:

2. If it were possible to have a “perfect” day in your business, what would it look like? What work are you doing? How do you feel about your work? Are you respected? Are you having impact?  Do you take on any tasks you wouldn’t normally?

3. Describe how you show up in your typical business day now.  What does a typical day look like? What do you handle well? What do you struggle with? Are you having the success and impact you want for yourself and your work? Where do you get stuck?

4. Now take a minute and look at the gap:

How do you show up in ways that are not consistent with your values?

(e.g. I isolate, sit in fear, numb with food, shopping, wine, or the internet; I sit and do not take action.)

What behaviors are out of alignment with your aspired values? (e.g. I say I am powerful, wise, generous. I am kind, a risk taker, tenacious. But I am not acting out these values.)

What are the risks if you do not close the divide between what you are doing now and your aspired values  (e.g. I may suffer shame, sadness, feelings of defeat)

If you close the divide and “walk the talk”, how would your life change for the better? (e.g. Succeed or fail, I will know that I tried…that I behaved with integrity within my own values and goals. I will feel more empowered, more connected, more engaged, more enthusiastic. I will step up and be seen.)
